Despite of a very poor propagation activity, result of low sun activity,  we achieve a very good unexpected score. With a brand new 50% of team, many was the doubts we must faced at beginning of the story. As already report by Fabio for SSB leg

it was the first time for CW with a new set-up definitively installed, but not complete yet due to some missing antennas to be installed in 2009. Start was a little slow in terms of rate speed. Probably unexpected situation of pile-up (real huge specially on 80M) for all operators on low bands put them bit in difficulties. While time passing operators start to have better feeling and faced the pile-up situation more easily and with more effect. Those brought to a constant over 300 QSO/hr rate that has been kept for 19 hours.Conditions on low bands were very good and we expect to have much worst on higher bands. We still know that November conditions are a little worst then October, but both 20 and 15 meters had a constant performance for both days. When we give-up to find any opening on 10M without receiving of any signal from EU we had an nice opening to US and Caribbean area, opening started with presence of usual US beacon station KC1XX, W3LPL, K1RX, on the afternoon.Unfortunately this opening was much weaker on Sunday but we could log almost 250 qso (10 M PSE come back soon!!!).Low bands antennas worked very nice and we increased very much the number of QSO on 40 meter comparing with 2007 experience. We are a little disappointed that we couldn’t run decently 160 M band due to a uncontrolled pile-up. Even split don’t help that much.Don’t make any run on top band was very frustrating for us as we want strongly give possibility to everyone to work us on more band as possible, but believe us, we pay too much in terms of rates if insist in that chaos. So sadly we took decision don’t do any “CQ” on this fantastic band. No failure in shack suffered, very nice team feeling between all of us brought to us a good score, but most important, a very nice experience of life.Multi-op contest is like family running on same direction for 48 hours, even if you still don’t know each other personally, the goal is a good glue between us! D4C team wish to thanks all our correspondents, all our guest operators and all whom really trusted us from beginning when this project was “on paper”.
